1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms
DetailBooked is a website and online-booking service for car detailing businesses, operated by Symcore Design LLC, 901 Fontaine Court, Waxhaw, NC 28173 ("DetailBooked," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Symcore Design LLC. They cover your use of detailbooked.com, the site builder, your dashboard, the booking websites we host, and every related service (together, the "Service").
You accept these Terms when you create an account, check the box agreeing to them, buy a plan, or otherwise use the Service. If you use the Service for a business, you're accepting these Terms for that business and confirming that you have authority to do so. In that case, "you" means both you and the business. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility and business use
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or buy a plan. The Service is meant for businesses and people offering vehicle detailing and similar services. It is not directed to children, and you may not use it to collect information from children under 13.
3. The service
DetailBooked lets you answer a series of questions and generate a booking website for your business. Your site can show your branding, services, prices, photos, reviews, hours and contact details, and lets your customers request appointments online. Once your site is published, the Service includes hosting, a free web address on our domain in the form yourname.detailbooked.com (or a similar page address we assign). The Service does not include a custom domain name of your own, booking notifications sent to you by email, and a dashboard to view bookings and edit your site.
We send booking notifications to the email address you choose. We do not send text messages to you or your customers. Your phone number is shown on your site so customers can contact you directly.
You can build and preview a site for free without an account. Unpublished builder answers are saved in your own web browser until you create an account; clearing your browser data deletes them.
4. Your account
You need an account to publish a site. Give us accurate information and keep it current, especially the email address where bookings are sent. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at admin@symcoredesign.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission. Each account may have one published site unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Plans, pricing and automatic renewal
5.1 Plans
| Plan | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Website + Booking, monthly | $19.00 | Charged when you subscribe and then every month, automatically, until you cancel. |
| Website + Booking, yearly | $190.00 | Charged when you subscribe and then every year, automatically, until you cancel. |
| Done-For-You Setup | $149.00 first payment, then $19.00 | The $149.00 first payment covers the setup work and your first month. After that you're charged $19.00 every month, automatically, until you cancel. |
Prices are in U.S. dollars and don't include taxes. If tax applies, it's shown at checkout. We don't currently offer free trials.
5.2 Automatic renewal
Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. Before you pay, the checkout shows the plan, the price, how often you'll be charged, and that the plan renews until you cancel. We'll only charge you after you agree to those terms. After you subscribe, we or our payment processor will send you a confirmation by email that includes the plan terms, this cancellation policy, and how to cancel.
5.3 Renewal reminders for yearly plans
If you're on a yearly plan, we'll email you at least 15 days and no more than 45 days before it renews. The reminder will tell you the renewal date, the amount, and how to cancel. We'll also send a reminder at least once a year while a yearly plan is active. If we ever fail to send a required renewal reminder, contact us and we'll refund that renewal charge.
5.4 Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Whop, Inc. ("Whop"), and are also subject to Whop's terms. We don't receive or store your full card number. You authorize us and Whop to charge your payment method for all amounts due under your plan. If a payment fails, we or Whop may retry it. If it still isn't paid, your plan ends at the end of the period you've already paid for and your site goes offline (see Section 16).
5.5 Price changes
We may change our prices. If the price of your current plan changes, we'll email you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before the change takes effect, with information on how to cancel. The new price applies from your next billing period after the change takes effect. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before then.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel anytime, for any reason. Choose whichever is easiest:
- Online: use the cancel or manage-plan option in your DetailBooked dashboard, or cancel the membership from your Whop account.
- By email: send a message to admin@symcoredesign.com from your account email saying you want to cancel. We'll process it and confirm by email within one business day.
Cancelling stops all future charges. Your site stays live, and you keep full access, until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that, your site goes offline. We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a billing period (see the Refund Policy). If we show you an offer when you cancel, you can always skip it and finish cancelling.
7. Done-For-You Setup
With Done-For-You Setup, our team builds your booking site for you from the information you give us. We aim to deliver within 24 hours of receiving everything we need, such as your business details, logo, services and prices. Timing can vary with the volume of requests and how complete your information is, and we'll keep you updated by email. The $149.00 payment includes your first month of the Website + Booking plan. After that month, the $19.00 monthly plan renews automatically as described in Section 5.
You can request reasonable changes to make sure the site reflects your business accurately. We consider the work "started" when a member of our team begins building your site; we'll let you know by email when that happens.
8. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short: plan payments ($19 monthly and $190 yearly) are not refundable. Done-For-You Setup is fully refundable if you cancel before work starts. We always fix billing errors and duplicate charges, and we give any refund the law requires.
9. Your content
"Your Content" means everything you or your team provide or upload: business name, logo, photos, prices, descriptions, reviews, hours, contact details and similar material. You own Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, display, adapt (for example, resizing images or applying your colors) and distribute Your Content only as needed to run, show and improve the Service and to show your site publicly. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where the law requires us to keep them.
You promise that:
- You own Your Content or have permission to use it, including any logos, trademarks and photos.
- Your Content is accurate and lawful and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
- Prices, packages, discounts and offers on your site are real and match what you'll actually charge.
- Any trust badge or claim you choose (for example "Fully insured," "Satisfaction guarantee" or "Certified coating installer") is true, and you can back it up.
- Any rating, review count or customer review you add is genuine, reflects real customers' actual experience, and is presented fairly. You won't post fake, AI-generated, purchased, or misleading reviews or testimonials. These are also prohibited by the FTC's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465).
Photos you upload are stored so they can be shown on your public site, which means anyone with the link can view them. Don't upload anything you don't want to be public. We may use stock photos (for example, from Unsplash) on your site until you add your own; those photos remain subject to their own licenses.
We don't pre-screen Your Content, but we may remove or disable content that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or the law.
10. Bookings and your customers
You, not DetailBooked, provide the detailing services. We aren't a party to any agreement between you and your customers. You're solely responsible for:
- the services you provide, your prices, discounts, deposits, payment collection, cancellations, rescheduling, and any refunds to your customers;
- confirming bookings, keeping your hours and availability up to date, and showing up for appointments;
- holding any licenses, permits and insurance your business needs; and
- complying with the laws that apply to your business, including consumer-protection, advertising, tax, and privacy laws for the information your customers give you.
Online prices on your site are estimates your customers see before booking. Customers don't pay through DetailBooked; you collect payment directly.
Customer data. When your customers book, we collect and store their information (such as name, email, phone number, vehicle, address, notes and booking details) on your behalf, so we can deliver the booking to you and send the customer a confirmation. We process that information only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell it or use it to market our own products to your customers. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use your customers' information. You may only use it for your business with that customer, consistent with the law and your own privacy practices.
We work to deliver every booking reliably, but email can be delayed, filtered as spam or fail to arrive. Check your dashboard regularly; it always shows the bookings we've received.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful, or to advertise services you don't actually offer;
- upload content that is infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that invades someone's privacy;
- impersonate another person or business, or use a business name or logo you don't have the right to use;
- send spam, or use customer information collected through the Service for unrelated marketing without proper consent;
- upload malware, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, get around security or access controls, or access other users' data;
- overload, scrape, or interfere with the Service, or use bots to create fake bookings or accounts;
- copy, resell, sublicense, or reverse engineer the Service or its templates, except as the law allows despite this restriction; or
- help anyone else do any of these things.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, including our software, site templates, designs, layouts, text we write, the DetailBooked name and logo, and the web addresses we assign, belongs to Symcore Design LLC and its licensors. While your plan is active, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service and to display your generated site for your business. You may not copy the templates or designs to use outside the Service. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Unless you remove it where we offer that option, your site may show a small "Booking site by DetailBooked" credit.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including hosting and database (Supabase), payments (Whop), email delivery, maps (Google Maps), fonts (Google Fonts), content delivery networks, and stock images (Unsplash). Your site may also link to your social media pages. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for them. If a third party changes or discontinues a service we rely on, we may change the related features.
14. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent: Copyright Agent, Symcore Design LLC, 901 Fontaine Court, Waxhaw, NC 28173, admin@symcoredesign.com. Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough information for us to find it (such as the URL);
- your contact information (address, phone number and email);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice that meets the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). We'll terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.
15. Changes to the service
We're always improving DetailBooked, and we may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces the core service you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance when we reasonably can, and you can cancel. We may also do maintenance that briefly interrupts the Service; we'll try to keep that to a minimum.
16. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time (see Section 6). You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing admin@symcoredesign.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account or take your site offline if:
- you materially or repeatedly break these Terms;
- your plan isn't paid;
- we're required to by law; or
- your use creates a security, legal or fraud risk for us, our users or the public.
When it's reasonable and lawful, we'll notify you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
When your plan ends, your site goes offline and stops taking bookings. We keep your account, site and booking data for 12 months, so you can reactivate, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. After that, we may delete it as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections 9 (license for backups only), 10, 12, and 17 through 23 survive termination, along with any payment obligations that arose before it.
17. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every email will be delivered, or that your site will bring you any particular number of bookings, customers or revenue.
Some places don't allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Symcore Design LLC and its members, employees and agents won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost bookings, lost data or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.
19. Indemnification
To the extent the law allows, you'll defend, indemnify and hold harmless Symcore Design LLC and its members, employees and agents from any third-party claims, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your Content;
- the services you provide to your customers, and your dealings with them;
- your violation of these Terms; or
- your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Before filing a claim, please contact us at admin@symcoredesign.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally; most issues are solved this way.
If we can't resolve a dispute, it will be decided exclusively by the state courts located in Union County, North Carolina, or the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the laws of the place where you live that can't be waived by contract.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you by email or in your dashboard at least 15 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required sooner by law. Changes won't apply retroactively. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, cancel before the change takes effect.
22. Electronic communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive communications from us electronically, including by email and in your dashboard. You also agree that agreements, notices and disclosures we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing. You can print or save these Terms at any time. We'll send account, billing and booking emails as part of the Service. If we ever send marketing emails, each will include a way to unsubscribe.
23. General
- Entire agreement: these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and that part will be enforced to the maximum extent allowed.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it.
- Assignment: you may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
- Force majeure: we're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Relationship: we're independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship.
- Notices: we'll send notices to your account email. You can send notices to the contact details below.
