1. Who we are and what this covers
DetailBooked is operated by Symcore Design LLC, 901 Fontaine Court, Waxhaw, NC 28173 ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you:
- visit detailbooked.com or use our site builder ("visitors");
- create an account, publish a booking site or use your dashboard ("detailers" or "you"); or
- book an appointment on a booking site hosted by DetailBooked ("customers").
Each detailer is an independent business. Detailers decide what to do with their customers' bookings. When we handle customer booking information, we do it on the detailer's behalf, to provide our service to that detailer (see Section 10).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information detailers give us
- Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form, and we can't see them.
- Business and site information: business name, city, service area, shop address, services, prices, add-ons, hours, discounts, trust badges, reviews you choose to add, and your design choices.
- Contact details shown on your site: phone number, booking-notification email, and social media links (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Google review link).
- Images: your logo, photos of your work, and before-and-after photos.
- Done-For-You requests: your name, mobile number, email, business name, website or Instagram link, and a summary of any site you've started building.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Whop, Inc. We receive information such as your name, email, the plan you bought, the amount, and whether a payment succeeded. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Communications: messages you send us and our replies.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Builder drafts: while you build a site without an account, your answers and uploaded images are saved only in your own web browser's local storage, so you can pick up where you left off. They aren't sent to us until you create an account, publish, or submit a Done-For-You request. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- Login session: when you log in, a session token is stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in.
- Technical information: when you load our pages, your browser connects to our hosting and content-delivery providers, which receive information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages requested. They may keep it in logs for security and reliability.
- Advertising pixel: if enabled, our marketing pages use the Meta Pixel. It records events (such as viewing a page, starting the builder, or publishing a site) and uses cookies or similar technology. See Section 5.
2.3 Information from customers who book
When a customer books on a detailer's site, we collect: name, email, mobile number, vehicle (year, make and model) and size, service address (for mobile jobs), notes, the service and add-ons chosen, appointment date and time, estimated total, and whether they said it's their first visit. Booking sites also load maps, fonts and images from third-party providers, which receive technical information as described in Section 4.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: generating and hosting your booking site, running your dashboard, showing available times, and recording bookings.
- To deliver bookings: emailing new bookings to the detailer, and emailing the customer a booking confirmation.
- For accounts and billing: creating and securing accounts, processing payments, and sending receipts, renewal reminders and notices about price or policy changes.
- For Done-For-You requests: contacting you and building your site.
- For support: answering questions and fixing problems.
- For safety and legal compliance: preventing fraud, spam and abuse, enforcing our Terms, keeping records the law requires (such as proof of consent to automatic renewal), and responding to lawful requests.
- To improve and promote DetailBooked: understanding how people use our marketing pages and builder, and measuring our ads (see Section 5). We don't use customers' booking information for this.
We don't use customers' booking information to market DetailBooked or anyone else's products to those customers.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only as follows.
4.1 With detailers
When a customer books, the booking details go to that detailer, by email and in their dashboard. The detailer's use of the information is governed by the detailer's own practices.
4.2 With service providers
We use these providers to run DetailBooked. They may only process information to provide their services to us:
| Provider | What they do | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, login, file storage and server functions | Account, site, image, booking and request data |
| Whop, Inc. | Payment processing and subscriptions | Name, email, payment details, plan and payment status |
| Email delivery provider (Resend) | Sending booking emails, confirmations and account emails | Recipient email address and the email content |
| Website hosting and content-delivery networks (for example, jsDelivr) | Delivering our pages and code | Technical information such as IP address |
| Google (Fonts and Maps) | Fonts on our pages; the service-area map on booking sites | Technical information such as IP address. Google Maps may set its own cookies. |
| Unsplash | Default stock photos on booking sites | Technical information such as IP address |
| Meta Platforms (if enabled) | Ad measurement on our marketing pages (see Section 5) | Pixel events, cookies, technical information |
4.3 For legal reasons and business transfers
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena or court order, or if we believe in good faith that it's necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of DetailBooked, our users or others. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that deal. This policy will continue to apply to it, or you'll be notified.
We don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
5. Advertising, cookies and tracking
We may use the Meta Pixel on our own marketing pages and builder (not on detailers' booking sites) to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. The pixel lets Meta collect information about your activity on our pages and other websites over time, which Meta uses under its own policies. Some state laws may consider this "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out by:
- turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as an opt-out, and our pages don't load the Meta Pixel when it's on;
- changing your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings; or
- emailing admin@symcoredesign.com and asking us not to use your information for targeted advertising.
Do Not Track: there's no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we don't respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control as described above.
Our own pages use your browser's local storage (not advertising cookies) to save builder drafts and keep you signed in. You can clear local storage in your browser settings at any time.
6. Information that's public
A published booking site is public. Everything a detailer puts on it is visible to anyone on the internet: business name, logo, photos, prices, phone number, email, service area or shop address, social links and reviews. Uploaded images are stored at public web addresses so they can be shown on the site. Customers' booking information is never shown on the public site.
7. How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Builder drafts (in your browser) | Until you clear your browser data or publish. We never receive them unless you publish or submit a request. |
| Account, site content and images | While your account is active. If your plan ends, we keep them for 12 months so you can reactivate, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. |
| Bookings | While the detailer's account is active, and up to 12 months after the plan ends, unless deleted sooner at the detailer's request. |
| Done-For-You requests | Up to 24 months after the request, or longer if you become a customer, in which case the account rules above apply. |
| Payment and transaction records | As long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes, typically up to 7 years. |
| Records of consent to automatic renewal | At least 3 years, or 1 year after the subscription ends, whichever is longer. |
| Backups | Deleted information may stay in backups for up to 30 days before it's overwritten. |
When we receive a verified request to delete an account, we delete or de-identify its data within 30 days. We'll keep anything we're legally required to keep, such as payment records.
8. Security
We protect information with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards for the type of information we handle. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls that limit each account to its own data, and limiting who on our team can access personal information. No system is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Use a strong password, and contact us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
If a security breach involving personal information occurs, we'll notify affected people without unreasonable delay, as required by law. That includes North Carolina's breach-notification law (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 75-65), which also requires us to notify the North Carolina Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. If we hold a customer's information on a detailer's behalf, we'll notify that detailer immediately after discovering a breach.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct information that's inaccurate;
- delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions; and
- opt out of targeted advertising and any sale or sharing of your information (see Section 5).
Detailers can update most information directly in the dashboard. To make a request, email admin@symcoredesign.com with the subject "Privacy request." To protect you, we'll verify your identity, for example by confirming the request from the email address on your account, before acting on it. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they're authorized.
We'll respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll tell you why and take up to another 45 days where the law allows. If we deny your request, we'll explain why, and you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal." We'll respond to appeals within 45 days. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Emails: account, billing, renewal and booking emails are part of the Service and can't be turned off while you have an account. If we ever send marketing emails, each will include an unsubscribe link and our postal address.
10. If you booked with a detailer
If you booked an appointment on a site powered by DetailBooked, the detailer is the business you're dealing with. We process your booking information on the detailer's behalf, so we can show available times, deliver your booking to the detailer, and email you a confirmation. Questions about your appointment, or about how the detailer uses your information, should go to the detailer directly; their contact details are on their site and in your confirmation email.
You can also contact us at admin@symcoredesign.com. We'll help, and where appropriate we'll forward your request to the detailer. We don't sell your booking information, and we don't use it to market to you.
11. Children
DetailBooked isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are only for people 18 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Where information is stored
DetailBooked is operated from the United States and intended for businesses in the United States. Information is stored and processed in the United States by us and our service providers. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We'll change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we'll notify detailers by email or in the dashboard before the changes take effect. We won't use personal information in a materially different way from what this policy described when it was collected without giving notice and, where the law requires, getting consent.
